What are you doing so as to carry your firm into future in the context of “Sustainability”?

Leading the way in denim production, our company draws attention with its activities particularly for environmental sustainability. Company is one of the business organizations which lead the way in textile in both Turkey and the world through its completely ecological Re-Set collection started in 2006.

Recycling is extremely important for our world with limited resources. Recycling is also carried out in textile sector as well as paper, plastic and iron-steel sectors. As Bossa, we recycle unused yarns and fibers in the establishment by reusing them as a raw material. Additionally, we use the fibers obtained from plastic bottles with r-PET project as textile raw material.

We have succeeded in becoming the first textile company by producing 100% recycled fabric through Re-Set collection in the world. We also calculate and certify all environmental impact of the products in Re-Set collection on the basis of product by  LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) project.

When you speak of environment, the first thing to come to mind is “water.” Water is life. Bossa, carrying out activities about water saving, has introduced the concept of “Saveblue”. Being sensitive to energy and water consumption, our company has taken a great step in the sense of sustainability by combining natural fiber use and this concept. We save water at the rate of 85% in dyeing the products in “saveblue” concept.

Speaking of water, we have taken an important step in terms of environment by using carbon dioxide instead of sulphuric acid in neutralizing our basic waste water in our another project related to waste water. We buy the carbon dioxide in liquid used in neutralizing our waste water at the first stage of this project. Now, we are carrying out activities on the second stage of our project. Our objective is to use the carbon dioxide coming out of our funnels.

Another project is regarding energy. We have established co-generation plant in our establishment. We have started generating our own energy and thus, saved energy at the rate of 20%. Our cogeneration system has not only reduced energy costs but also made a significant contribution to reduction of environmental pollution.

We lead the way in producing a new project with innovative approaches every season. We have developed an environment-friendly, new dyeing process and introduced a new understanding to the production of colorful denim fabric. In such concept called “Dyeart”, we produce colorful denim fabrics with high achievements in terms of environment. Additionally, innovative developments have been introduced in nature of the fabrics and activities in this respect are continuing without slowing down.

Bossa, additionally, has taken the first steps in a new recycling project and we are carrying out activities on collecting used trousers from the consumers and turn them to fabric again. In this project known as  “Post Consumer Denim” all over the world, we have a common project with a lot of customers.

The latest environmental concept which we will also introduce in Denim ByPv fair is “Future Denim” concept in which our 100% sustainable fabrics are available. Fibers and yarns in the contents of the products in this concept sustainable ones such as organic cotton, recycle cotton, recycle polyester, eco T400, refibra (recycle tensel), pcrd (post consumer recycle denim) and also, their dyeing process is Saveblue dyeing process. In this sense, products, with both dyeing and finishing processes, are 100% sustainable. We call such 100% sustainable quality “Denim of the Future.”

We continue process and product development activities; on the other hand, leading the way in joint activities, successful projects with many fashion designers, our company attaches great importance to sustainability regarding environment, energy efficiency and customer satisfaction.
